Simple resources to BRING FRENCH INTO YOUR HOMESCHOOL

I’m Ophélie. I was born in Northern France but I currently live in the United States. I have always been exposed to foreign languages through school. Though it isn’t until junior high that I suddenly found a passion for learning English. I later added German, Latin and Danish to my linguistic interests. Over the years, I have learnt a lot, forgotten a lot, practiced a lot and met penpals to practice with along the way.
I created our beautiful words, in an effort to provide families who desire to add French to their daily life, simple resources. I aim for a living approach, modern in its application and relatable content for your homeschool.
France is rich in culture and history.

More ABOUT MY Story
In 2022, I became a mother. And with that change came questions about my future children’s education and language education. In 2023 I discovered Charlotte Mason, I have read a lot since and I have dived into her philosophy which led me to discover François Gouin.
Charlotte Mason wrote that children are born persons and that education is an atmosphere, a discipline and a life. Amongst many other wonderful things. And I couldn’t agree more.
Through my readings of Gouin’s books, I could see why their philosophies matched. Charlotte Mason praised Gouin’s method in her books.
As my children are growing and as homeschooling became an answer for me, I have decided to create some resources in order to implement French at home. We speak French, we play with words in French, we read books in French, we sing songs and listen to music…
I came to the conclusion that the documents I would create for my own children could benefit more parents who are also interested in Charlotte Mason’s philosphy.
I hope these resources I put together will give you confidence to implement French as a living language in your household.
Join me in this journey to not only learn French but live French, in your homeschool everyday.
